Reiseverlauf

You have the choice between different riding programs, there is something for everyone:
With the Vosgesesen Sternritten you ride daily in different directions of the charming surroundings. The riding programmes are suitable for beginners and advanced riders alike and offer wonderful rides in the Vosges mountains. This is also the case with the weekend programmes. In winter there is also the possibility of trying out various snow activities in addition to the adapted riding programme (for an extra charge).

Weekly programme Vosges Star Rides (Sun - Sat)
This program is designed for beginners as well as for advanced riders (groups are separated on the first day) who want to make rides in the beautiful mountains. Daily 4-5 hours in the saddle and typical Alsatian cuisine make the week a varied experience.

Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon/evening (between 18:00 and 20:00). Let us spoil you culinary with a typical Alsatian dinner.

Day 2: First ride into the surrounding forests. Get to know the hilly landscape of Alsace on horseback. Over the magnificent plateau of Champ de feu you will ride to the village Hohwald. You will pass the viewpoint La grande Bellevue. In the middle of the forest, this clearing opens up as if from a fairy tale and offers a wide view of the Vosges mountains. Here you can easily imagine the origin of legends and gnomes. The ride takes you further through legendary territory. In between, you will stop at a rustic farm where you can taste Alsatian hospitality and regional delicacies (or picnic). Riding and enjoying, just typical French!
Strengthened, you will ride on to one of the most beautiful waterfalls, the waterfall of Nideck. Close to the castle ruins of the same name you will stay in the land of fairy tales.

Day 3: Today´s riding day also takes you into the mountain world of the Vosges. After breakfast, the ride will lead you towards Rotlach, this area is famous for its antlered bearers. With a little luck you may discover deer. Depending on the weather, lunch will be taken among the ruins of a former castle. In the afternoon the ride leads through wooded areas to the Neuntelstein. This rock with its rugged walls is especially popular with climbers and offers a fantastic view of the Alsatian plain.

Day 4: After breakfast, you will go to Coin Perdu, the so-called lost corner. About 30 menhirs are lined up in a circle. This formation is still mysterious.
After the picnic we go towards Heidenkopf, a mountain with 787 m height. Here, too, a fantastic view of the valleys and villages of the Vosges mountains opens up. Enjoy these before a last gallop takes you back to the riding centre.

Day 5: Today you will go by horse to the waterfall of the Serva. From the top, paths lead downhill to the village of Natzwiller. Planted paths lead idyllically through the mountains, so that you can enjoy wonderful, partly 360° panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. You will have your lunch picnic on the top of the Pfriemenkopf hill before returning to the riding centre.

Day 6: Today you will have one last ride: you will ride towards the plateaus of Haute Lachamps and Bas Lachamp, which offer a beautiful panorama of the surrounding area, a photo stop is worthwhile here! This place is perfect for a lunch picnic. Afterwards we will ride up the St. Jean mountain, which is located opposite the Perreux pass. A gallop brings you the last part to the summit, from where you have a wonderful 360° panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Continue through pine forest to the top of the mountain before returning to the farm.

Day 7: Departure after breakfast.
