Already on the way to the ranch you will pass through wild horse country. The ranch covers about 120,000 hectares of private land and Bighorn National Forest.

The ranch welcomes max. 32 guests or 25 riders. This guarantees a professional and at the same time personal service. The ranch is rightly proud of its horses, which are among the best of all guest ranches. The self-bred Quarter Horses are well groomed and broken in by the cowboys according to the rules of the Natural Horsemanship. There are about 80 horses available.

Wyoming offers beautiful landscapes. Here you can discover them from horseback and by cattle work. The surroundings of the ranch and the riding possibilities are very varied. In addition to the many opportunities for horseback riding, you can participate in cowboy life and help the cowboys with their cattle work.

For non-riders, this area offers many other outdoor sports such as fly fishing (April - October), shooting, hiking, cycling, canoeing, visiting dinosaur sites, excursions with overnight stays in the mountains. In winter: snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The ranch is not too far from the eastern entrance of Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons.

The riding program
The ranch attaches great importance to assigning the right horse to each rider, depending on their riding experience. The design of the rides is also adapted to the wishes and riding qualifications of the guests. The rides are very varied. Due to the vastness of the terrain there is always something new to discover. The Wranglers know the most beautiful riding routes and will gladly take you on 2 to 6 hour rides. You determine the destination and duration of the rides. There are easier and more demanding routes with magnificent views over the Bighorn Valley, through canyons, across plateaus and ridges. Again and again you will see wild animals and wild horses.

Cattle work during the year
If you want to get a taste of the life of the cowboys, you are welcome to join them and accompany them in their daily tasks and help them with their work. There is plenty to do all year round.

In the time from February to October there are also cattle drives and round-ups in which you can participate.

End of April until the beginning of May is branding season. Calves must be captured and branded. Here too, you are welcome to give the cowboys a hand or look over their shoulder.

From the end of May to June the cattle are driven to the plateaus. After the snow has melted, they are covered with spring flowers.

From July to September the older cows and their calves are sorted out and driven in pairs or small groups to the lush mountain pastures. On the way you can often see moose and roe deer.

Mid September to October is Indian Summer in Wyoming. The trees shine in bright yellow and red tones. The cattle is rounded up for the winter.

In winter, little snow falls in this high valley. Even now there is enough to do. The cattle have to be tended, fences are checked and repaired. Those who want to try out the winter sports possibilities of the nearby, higher situated Snowshoe Lodge. With a snowmobile you can ski 400 miles of prepared slopes or race cross-country through powder snow.
