Beschreibung & Reiseverlauf

This ride takes you on horseback through the High Atlas, past rugged cliffs, through deep gorges and extensive pine forests. Red mountains, deep valleys, almond groves, terraced gardens and Berber settlements dominate the landscape. Be enchanted by the lively culture of the local people at the foot of the High Atlas. The rocky mountain slopes are covered with wild spices (thyme, lavender, rosemary) and a great variety of flowers.
The houses of the villages on the mountain slopes are built of claystone, the roofs are often made of straw-clay. The closer you get, the more the houses lose themselves in the colours of the terrain. You ride up to 2.100 m and enjoy a great mountain panorama. A highlight are also the natural rock bridge of Imi N´Ifri and the waterfalls of Ouzoud, the highest and perhaps most beautiful in Morocco and a popular destination for excursions from Marrakech. Your riding tour ends here.
The last overnight stay will be in Marrakech, so you can still combine your stay with a visit to the lively royal city. Let yourself be enchanted by the colourful markets and the narrow streets of the Medina (old town)!
