You can choose between the Basic Program with two individual riding lessons per day or the Nature Program with an additional trail ride and wine and cheese tastings. Itinerary

Private dressage week in a country hotel

Day 1: Arrival from 4 pm. After you have arrived into your comfortable room in the modern country hotel, enjoy your first dinner in the hotel restaurant with a view of the foothills of the Serra da Estrela.

2nd-4th day: You can expect two qualified dressage lessons of 1 hour each day. The Quinta has the right Lusitano for ambitious beginners to experienced riders rider. The riding lessons take place on a one-to-one basis so that your riding instructor can optimally cater to your needs. Between lessons, there is plenty of time to enjoy the hotel restaurant's fantastic cuisine, relax by the hotel pool or take a walk through the vineyards to explore the foothills of the Serra da Estrela on foot.

Day 5: Departure after breakfast until 12 noon.


Dressage and riding week in the Serra da Estrela

Day 1: Arrival from 4 pm and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Take a deep breath of the fresh mountain air in the Serra da Estrela and enjoy the peace and quiet that surrounds the modern Quinta.

Day 2: Today you can expect two individual riding lessons of 1 hour each with a focus on dressage. Let yourself be enchanted by the light-footedness of the Lusitanos and take away all kinds of instructive tips from your qualified riding instructors. Between the riding lessons you will have some time to relax by the pool.

Day 3: Two interesting riding lessons await you again today, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In the evening, you can look forward to a wine and cheese tasting with local products.

Day 4: In the morning you will have another dressage lesson. In the afternoon, you will then go for a trail ride of approx. 1.5 hours through the foothills of the Serra da Estrela.

Day 5: Departure after breakfast until 12 noon.

Accomodation
The Quinta on the edge of Serra da Estrela is a true paradise for dressage riders. This 4-star country hotel is idyllically situated amidst vineyards. Spacious indoor riding arenas and a picturesque outdoor riding arena are available for riding lessons. The Quinta offers excellent cuisine a la carte (vegetarian meals available) and its own wine. You will stay in spacious double rooms with private bathrooms, a kettle, a safe, and Wi-Fi. Some rooms feature balconies offering an idyllic view to the breeding mares. Guests have access to an outdoor pool to relax after riding lessons, as well as a reading room with a view to the riding facilities.

Dogs are welcome upon prior registration (additional fee payable on site). Please note that there are free-roaming dogs and cats on the premises.

Saddle & Tack: Dressage tack.

Experience: The ambitious beginner is just as welcome as the passionate rider. You should be able to control your horse in all three basic gaits.

Horses: Lusitanos, some from the own sport-oriented breeding program and warmbloods.
