The typical Upper Austrian square farmstead, located approximately 40 km northeast of Linz, offers first-class riding lessons and wonderful trail rides in the Mühlviertel region. The hilly area is well known among trail riders and offers deep green coniferous forests, wide plateaus, and a seemingly endless network of riding trails that extend beyond the border to the Czech Republic. During riding lessons under expert guidance, you can take your first steps on horseback on the lunge or take lessons in dressage and jumping.

The riding farm:
On around 40 hectares of private land, you can enjoy unlimited riding fun with lots of galloping trails, a 12-hectare cross-country course, an indoor riding arena, and two outdoor riding arenas. In summer, you can cool off with the horses in the farm's own pond. If you want to go swimming without horses, we recommend a swimming lake about 1 km from the farm. There are around 50 horses on the farm, including almost 20 school horses.
The riding farm is located in a quiet area on the outskirts of the village. There are five guest rooms and three vacation apartments with one or two bedrooms. Breakfast is served in the cozy vaulted cellar, the “Kaminstüberl.” It also serves as a meeting place for riders. The outdoor facilities include a table tennis table and a pond with a fishing hut, a lawn for sunbathing, and a barbecue area.

Itinerary

Here you have the opportunity to take riding lessons with certified riding instructors who have years of competition experience in eventing, dressage, and show jumping. You can choose between individual lessons or group lessons (3-7 riders). Otherwise, the Mühlviertel region is particularly inviting for wonderful rides through forests and meadows.
The range of school horses extends from good-natured ponies and reliable beginners' horses to well-trained sport horses.

Training week for beginners: You will be assigned your own horse for the week, with which you will work intensively. This will allow you to build a great relationship with the horse in no time and practice safe handling under supervision. Included are 8 individual lessons, either on the lunge or free, depending on your needs, as well as 4 group riding lessons. If you have a little more experience, you can go on trail rides instead of the group lessons.

Dressage training week: Learn to ride a horse on the reins and “through the neck” on experienced school horses. This includes lessons such as shoulder-in and side movements, right up to flying changes. Those with enough experience can even try their hand at the piaffe. Includes 8 units (30 min.) of individual dressage lessons or lunge lessons, as well as 4 hours of group dressage lessons and/or trail rides.

Training week: show jumping: If you already have some experience in the saddle and are looking for a new challenge, the show jumping course is ideal. The intensive show jumping program will give you plenty of practice in just one week. The height of the jumps depends on your previous experience and ranges up to 1 m. Jumping takes place in the countryside, on the large sand arena, and in the indoor riding arena.
For advanced riders only! Includes 5 hours of jumping lessons on the course, 3 hours of jumping lessons on the cross-country course, and 4 hours of trail rides and/or group lessons.

Eventing training week: You can't get more variety than this! Experience the excitement and adrenaline of jumping, galloping across open meadows, relaxing on wonderful trail rides, and dressage lessons. Eventing is often referred to as the supreme discipline of equestrian sports.
Suitable for advanced riders. Includes 2 units (30 min.) of individual dressage lessons, 2 hours of jumping on the course, 2 hours of jumping on the cross-country course, and 8 hours of trail rides and/or group lessons.

Other activities: The riding stable has a table tennis table, a small petting zoo, a library, and an open fireplace for cozy evenings. You can also fish, swim with the horses, and relax at the on-site pond. There is a tennis court and a bowling alley in the village. In winter, there are great cross-country ski trails. In the surrounding area, there is a golf course, an indoor swimming pool, a swimming lake, and even a horse-drawn railway—a restored main station with a museum and rides in original carriages on a section of the former railway line.

Accomodation
In the spacious comfort rooms you will find peace and relaxation during your vacation. The lovely furnished, bright rooms are equipped with an anteroom, shower, toilet and TV and offer space for up to four people. The apartments can accommodate up to four people (1 extra bed possible) and are ideal for families and self-catering guests. They are equipped with one or two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen-living room, TV, bathroom and toilet are separate. All rooms and apartments are located on the south side of the courtyard and therefore let the sun in all day long. The Kaminstüberl serves as a lounge and breakfast room. The open fireplace is the heart of the courtyard, so to speak. This is where people meet, discuss, chat and get to know each other.

A rich breakfast buffet is included in the price (except for the apartments). There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity and within easy walking distance, offering regional specialties at reasonable prices.
