This sporty ride takes you from south to north from the vineyards to the Vosges mountains in the north. Magnificent mountain landscapes with corresponding views, as well as charming little towns like Riquewhir and Kayserberg await you. But no matter where you are, you will always find long passages at a gallop. The noble Anglo-Arabs are also active in endurance sports and are accordingly fit.
Our long-standing partner can also tell you a lot about the flora and fauna and his trained endurance horses with his knowledge. On these incredibly enduring horses you will gallop long distances as you will rarely find. But don´t worry: our customers are not professionals and only ride in their free time! What is important is safety in all gaits and a good physical condition. At the end of the ride you will master and praise every terrain: The horses are fantastic!

You will also stay in small, traditional and typically French hotels/guesthouses or country inns and can enjoy the famous French cuisine to the full. The lunch break takes place on the way and is gastronomic: 3-course menu - freshly prepared - and cheese platter, in the middle of nature, comfortably at the long table with chairs - time to enjoy and relax! In the evenings you will be spoiled with French culinary arts, often also with respective regional specialities.

Itinerary

Day 1: Reception from 5 p.m. at the Hotel du Cheval Blanc in Ribeauville, a small village in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards. You will still have time to stroll through the cobbled streets of one of the most beautiful villages in France. Overnight stay and dinner at the Hotel du Cheval Blanc, the horses to stand a little further away in the park.

Day 2: After breakfast, head to saddle for a day's stage from Ribeauville to Albe. You ride through the impressive vineyard landscape of the Pinots Alsaciens before climbing up into the Vosges. The stage ends in Albe at valley von Ville. The horses are accommodated in the paddock at an equestrian center and the rider in the hotel 500 m away. Overnight stay and dinner at the Hotel des Cigognes.

Day 3: Today's stage first leads through the plain before you enter the mountains to ride. Many winding forest paths to lead take you to Champ du Feu, where you stop for lunch. The route continues along shady paths through the idyllic forest of Grendelbach and over the Col du Donon and Col du Rothlach peaks. Overnight stay and dinner at the Hotel du Donon.

Day 4: 40 km long stage between the Col du Donon and Bourg Bruche, on the route between Alsace and Lorraine. We to ride through part of the Donon national forest with a few gallops. Over the Col du Hantz we descend again into the Bourgon valley of the Bruche. Arrival at the "Nouveau chemin" farm, dinner and overnight stay in a guest room.

Day 5: A stage of just over 30 km between Bourg Bruche and Aubure. The route runs almost exclusively through dreamy meadows, with many gallops that take us over the Col de la Hingrie to Aubure to lead. The valleys become narrower, the paths deeper. In Aubure, Marianne Gites awaits us with comfortable rooms where we eat all our meals to tighten and where we sleep for two nights. The horses are at pasture.

Day 6: After breakfast, the horses are saddled and the Alsace is explored further. A beautiful stage of approx. 35 km awaits you with more than 1000 m difference in altitude! The route takes you over the Col des Bagenelles, the Col du Bonhomme and the Col du Louschbach before you reach the Lac Blanc ski station, which is located at the Col du Calvaire. Then to ride from Lac Blanc to Lac Noir. Overnight stay in a family-run gite, where you will be spoiled as usual by the regional cuisine.

Day 7: The last 30 km stage leads through the idyllic Münstertal valley down to Kayserberg, one of the most beautiful villages in Alsace. Depending on the departure of your guests, you will finish your Riding tour in the afternoon either in Kientzheim or Sigolsheim.

Accomodation
Overnight stays are in small, traditional and typically French guest houses ("gîtes"). The cuisine is regional with Alsatian specialties and of course the famous wine.

Saddle & Tack: English saddles and bridles.

Experience: You should have ridden regularly for more than 5 years and feel comfortable in fast pace as well as in long trot and canter distances (in the end you will gallop downhill without fear). Very sporty, strenuous adventure ride!

Horses: endurance trekking horses, especially Anglo-Arabians, who regularly compete in endurance competitions.
