Western riding vacation for beginners and advanced riders in Bavaria forest! The family-run farm is located approx. 40 km from Passau in a small village close to the Bavarian National Park forest, the oldest and largest national park in Germany. For many years, the family has been offering wonderful rides through the lush forests and meadows, over hill and along streams on back absolutely reliable trail horses, which grow up optimally on huge pastures in their own breeding.
If you are looking for a real horse and nature experience, this is the place for you. A rustic saloon and terrace are available for socializing.

Itinerary

On 5 riding days you will arrive at the stables at around 9.00 a.m., where the horses will be allocated according to your riding ability. At lunchtime you can stop for a bite to eat (excl.) while the horses are tethered and can also enjoy the break. Around 15.00-16.00 you will return to your home farm. There is no half board on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days you will have to cater for yourself in the evening. You can do this in the restaurant just a few meters away from farm .
Here is a ion of possible rides (the order varies):

Day 1: Arrival.

Day 2: You undertake a wonderful half-day ride into the wild and romantic valley of the Kleine Ohe. A mountain trail takes you past the Rastbuche pilgrimage chapel up to a plateau. Stop for refreshments at a mountain inn. If the weather is good, you can enjoy a cool drink in the beer garden. Strengthened, you return to farm via forest and meadow paths.

Day 3: Ride deep in the Bavarian forest through the mysterious landscape of Dreiburgenland. You to ride through ancient farming villages, along crystal-clear streams and old water mills through untouched nature. You stop off at a small inn for lunch. You return to farm in the afternoon.

Day 4: Ride to the gold mining village of Hunding, situated on a sunny south-facing slope in the middle of extensive forests. Extensive lunch break in an original gold-digger western saloon, an original replica of a trapper's saloon from Canada: enjoy the Bavarian specialties (cold buffet) at the richly laid table - western style in Bavarian!

Day 5: Relaxation break for horses and rider. The day is ideal for exploring the area or simply relaxing.
Day 6: Today to ride You hike to the foot of the Brotjacklriegel (1080 m), the highest elevation in the Sonnenwald area with a viewing tower. Follow historical paths to the plateau surrounded by herb meadows. There you can enjoy a Bavarian snack at the Waldgasthof in Kerschbaum before returning to farm .

Day 7: After breakfast, we head to the Forgotten World Ranch, where you can view the horses and cattle and talk shop with the owner about his cowboy experience in Australia and South America. We return to our home at farm via beautiful paths in the Bavarian forest. - Another horseback ride into the Bavarian forest: Ride into the valley of the 1000 beavers over long meadow paths in a rustic and beautiful landscape. Stop for lunch at a private estate with a terrace and pool, where you can take a dip if the weather is nice - don't forget your swimming costume! In the afternoon, return to farm via the Gruselberg estate with Kabadin horse breeding.

Day 8: Departure after breakfast.

Beginners week western riding vacation (8 days/5 riding days):

Day 1: Arrival.

2nd -7th day: On the 5 riding days you will arrive at the stables at around 9.00 a.m., where the horses will be allocated. You will then be groomed and saddled and off you go to walk.
At lunchtime you can stop for a bite to eat (excl.) while the horses are tethered and can also enjoy the break. Afterwards you return to farm via other bridle paths. There is no half board on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days you have to cater for yourself in the evening. You can do this in the restaurant just a few meters from farm .
The rides are like those of the adventure riding week, only a little shorter and to walk. Our Andalusian horses are very sure-footed, enduring, sociable and people-oriented. You will be amazed at how fast you get a good and safe feeling on the back horses and can enjoy our beautiful landscape at fast!

Day 8: Departure after breakfast.

Ascension ride (5 days/3 riding days)
A shortened riding week with 3 day rides (advanced riders) or 3 half-day rides (beginners) in the middle of May, one of the most beautiful times, 08.05.2024 Wednesday to 12.05.2024 Sunday.

Taster offer for advanced rider (4 days):
You go on two extended rides (approx. 3-4 hours each) in the beautiful area around the Brotjacklriegl and the Bavarian forest. Refreshment stops are available in small farming villages. One evening there is usually a cozy barbecue evening with campfire romance at farm . 

Taster offer for beginners & returners (4 days):
You go on two leisurely rides to walk in the beautiful countryside with the addition of a riding lesson before each ride, which gives you the necessary confidence for the respective tour.
The horses are very sure-footed, persistent and people-oriented. You will be amazed at how fast you can get a good and safe feeling on the back horses and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Weekend: Friday - Sunday (3 days) Western riding vacation for beginners and advanced riders:
Suitable for beginners and advanced riders rider! You will go on two extended rides (approx. 4 hours each) in the beautiful area around the Brotjacklriegl with a break in an idyllic inn. The tour ends on Sunday at around 4.00 pm at farm. 
Beginners receive a short briefing before each ride and to ride is of course separate from the advanced riders to walk.

Arrival and departure: No riding on the day of arrival and departure (except weekends, riding program according to the announcement). Arrival from 14.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs. Departure until 10.00 am. Note: In winter there can be a lot of snow in the Bavarian forest . The rides can therefore only be offered according to the amount of snow (riding not guaranteed)!

Non-riders: Even non-riding companions will get their money's worth in the Bavarian region forest ! Many castles and fortresses, the Bavarian National Park forest and the three-river city of Passau are in the immediate vicinity. The mountain Brotjackelriegel is a fantastic hiking area (skiing and cross-country skiing possible in winter). In the summer, there are many swimming lakes in the surrounding area. There is also the western town of Pullmann City.Non-riding companions also get their money´s worth in the Bavarian Forest! Many castles and palaces, the Bavarian Forest National Park and the three-river city of Passau await you. The mountain Brotjackeljackelriegel is a fantastic hiking area (in winter skiing and cross-country skiing is possible). In summer, bathing lakes in the immediate vicinity are very attractive. Likewise the traditional western city Pullmann City and its attractions.


Accomodation
The Riding centre has double rooms and apartments - all equipped with shower/WC and TV and some with balcony. Free WLAN is available. Single rooms without TV. At farm there is a rider's parlor, and there is also a natural swimming pond nearby for cooling off and swimming.
Breakfast is served at farm and the barbecue evenings also take place there. Bavarian dinner is served in the country estate opposite or at farm itself. Afterwards, you can round off the day in the farm's own saloon.

Groups of 4 people or more have the opportunity to stay together in a completely renovated and fully furnished mountain farm. This is located approx. 1.5 km away (car is required) and offers a rural idyll in complete seclusion and a breathtaking view. Availability upon request.




Saddle & Tack: saddle and tack mainly western. Rain ponchos can be borrowed free of charge on site. Small saddlebag for the horn can be brought along (saddlebags are not provided).

Experience: Western riding vacations for beginners and advanced riders - there is the right program for everyone! Rider weight for advanced riders up to 85 kg and for beginners up to 90 kg.

Horses: Andalusian breed, well trained, reliable, sociable and very sure-footed, partly from own breeding. Around 50 horses live at the farm, including 3 Andalusian stallions.

Andalusier 
Andalusier gehören zu den edelsten Pferderassen der Welt und ziehen mit ihrer enormen Ausstrahlung, ihrer Anmut und ihrem Temperament jeden Betrachter in ihren Bann. Sie sind besonnen und widerstandsfähig, ergeben und lernfähig.

Für unsere Reitprogramme eignen sich eher "Andalusier", die mit anderen Rassen gekreuzt werden, so findet sich zumeist der "Hispano-Anglo-Araber". Die in dieser Zucht mit verwendete "P.R.E" Reine Spanische Rasse hingegen eignet sich neben dem berittenen Stierkampf, vor allem aber für die Dressurarbeit, wegen ihres großen Talents in der Ausbildung zur Hohen Schule. Ihr Name leitet sich von der Provinz im Süden Spaniens ab. Der mittellange bis kurze Körper ist muskulös und harmonisch, Mähne und Schweif üppig und lang. Das Gesicht ist gerade oder leicht konvex, etwas schmal und trocken, mit kleinen Ohren und wachen Augen. Die Pferden bestechen durch ihre energischen, jedoch geschmeidigen Gänge und beachtliche Erhabenheit. Es dominieren Schimmel und Braune, zulässig sind noch andere Farben, mit Ausnahme von Füchsen und Schecken.
Spanische Pferde wurden wegen ihrer Qualität und Erscheinung bereits seit dem Mittelalter geschätzt. Mauren drangen im 7. Jh. auf die Iberische Halbinsel vor und brachten ihre Pferde mit, die mit guten einheimischen Rassen gekreuzt wurden. Um 1500 übten Andalusier einen großen Einfluss auf die Lipizzanerzucht aus. Auf den Eroberungszügen des Spaniers Hernán Cortés gelangten sie selbst bis nach Amerika. Die Kartäuser Mönche züchteten die Andalusier und bewahrten die Reinheit der Rasse. Neben Pferdediebstählen durch die Truppen Napoleons und einer Epidemie dezimierte sich der Bestand merklich, jedoch überlebte eine kleine Herde im Kloster der Kartäuser.
