Discover the magical Plitvice Lakes region on horseback back - on a riding experience that combines nature, tranquillity and adventure. On the authentic western farm, idyllically situated in the middle of forest, you ride in small groups through pristine landscapes characterized by springs, waterfalls and green hills. The farm is located just 15 kilometers from the Plitvice Lakes National Park with its waterfalls and is in the immediate vicinity of the famous Barac stalactite caves and the charming village of Dreznik Grad.
The farm breeds and trains its own horses, so they are all perfectly suited for the trails, even for less experienced riders. Non-riders will also find plenty of opportunities to relax here: take a carriage ride through the countryside or explore the surrounding area on foot or by bike on well-marked trails. This riding program is the perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of Croatia in a very special way.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the accommodation and transfer to the farm. After you have settled into your room, you can explore Ranch and get to know the animals living there before taking a relaxing carriage ride with picnic. You will travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Speleon Museum of Underground Heritage (approx. 4-hour drive with guided tour of the museum and picnic). After the carriage ride, you will return to Ranch for dinner.

Day 2: On the second day you tack up the horses for the first ride. You ride to the famous Barac caves, where you take part in a guided tour in this historic area. After the tour you ride back to the farm, taking a break with a small picnic in the countryside.

Day 3: After a traditional Croatian breakfast, you will set off on a full-day ride to explore old forest trails, mountains, streams, and unspoiled nature. At lunchtime, you will take a short break for a picnic. Dinner and overnight stay on the farm.

Day 4: After breakfast, you prepare the horses and ride through the Korana river trails. Around midday you reach the deer valley, where you take a lunch break and watch the deer. In the afternoon you return to the farm through forest and meadow paths.

Day 5: Today, you will take a break from riding and go on a day trip to the picturesque Plitvice Lakes. You will leave after breakfast and spend the day exploring the numerous waterfalls and crystal-clear lakes. The waters are teeming with fish and attract numerous bird and other animal species. Return to the farm in the late afternoon, where you will have some time to relax before dinner.

Day 6: On the last day of riding, you will go on another long ride around the Ranch, along beautiful bridle paths and canter through meadows and fields in the green, water-rich heart of Croatia.

Day 7: Departure after breakfast.

Accomodation
You will stay in guesthouses near the Ranch in comfortable single or double rooms. The Ranch also has its own campground for those who wish to arrive with a caravan or tent.

Saddle & Tack: Western tack

Experience: Saddle fit in all gaits, advanced beginners also welcome. The pace is adapted to your level.

Horses: Mainly warmblood horses, sure-footed and well trained for the rides.
