Utah Backcountry Lodge
Enjoy the picturesque landscape of Utah and stay in a comfortable hotel.
We choose from dozens of available destinations every day and stay and dine at first-class hotels and restaurants. Our accommodation is located in Torrey, Utah. Our horseback riding destinations range from Capitol Reef National Park to Dixie National Forest to Fish Lake National Forest.
In warm weather or in autumn, when the leaves change colour, trips to the lakes and alpine meadows of Fish Lake or Dixie National Forest are on the programme. The trails are mostly unpaved and were developed by shepherds, Native Americans and outlaws. The destinations were chosen for their remoteness and scenic beauty.

Dixi Forest Adventure Ride
Boulder Mountain is located in the heart of the Dixie National Forest and consists of alpine meadows and forests offering views of the picturesque red rocks and rugged canyons of Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
You will ride through aspen and conifer forests and across mountain meadows. Every day, you will stop for a picnic lunch at beautiful high-altitude lakes where you can fish. During the day, you will explore the winding trails created by Native Americans, shepherds and outlaws, and in the evening, you will listen to stories about these pioneers around the campfire.

Itinerary

Backcountry Lodge
The time spent outside the lodge may vary from day to day, but you should generally expect to leave at 9 a.m. each morning and return around 6 p.m. The rides are leisurely and can be split into two groups, with one group taking a longer route and the other a shorter route.

Day 1: Arrive in Torrey, Utah, and check into your accommodation. Your guide will meet you at 7 p.m. for dinner.
Overnight stay at your accommodation in Torrey.

Day 2: After breakfast, drive a short distance down the road to the farm. Here you will meet your guides, cowboys and horses, and then depart for the tour starting point at around 9 a.m. A picnic lunch will be provided. After the ride, you will return to your accommodation, where you can take a short break before meeting your tour guides for dinner.

Days 3 and 4: Each day, you will leave your accommodation after breakfast to ride in a different area. The best destination will be chosen depending on the time of year, the number of participants and the weather. A picnic lunch will be provided each day. Dinner will be organised each day except on the day of departure.

Day 5: After a final morning ride, it's time to say goodbye to everyone. Departure after lunch.
