Unlimited riding on an original horse ranch. Southern Cross is considered an insider tip and is a real Working Horse Ranch with over 100 horses. The ranch is known worldwide for its excellent breeding of Paint and Quarter Horses.

You can ride out twice a day, 7 days a week on the 100 ha farm. Rides on the lush pastures, into the surrounding forests or on a fixed 14 mile trail at the Hard Labours State Park (transport there optional). Of course you need to be experienced and saddle up for the rides on your own. However, guided rides are also offered. The ranch is also suitable for beginners, as lessons are given and you don´t need to bring any riding equipment.
The German speaking environment will be pleasant for many guests. Furthermore, Georgia´s mild climate welcomes you all year round.

Accomodation

The accommodation leaves nothing to be desired! The Southern Cross Ranch offers luxurious accommodations on a typical Southern country estate. 14 exquisitely furnished rooms in the 3000 sqm mansion are equipped with bath, air conditioning, TV and telephone. The premium rooms have balcony, fireplace and sauna or Jacuzzi.
Non-riding companions will find golf courses (Augusta and others), white water rafting, the Blue Ridge Mountains for hiking and many shopping opportunities in Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah.

 

Saddle & Tack: Western saddles and bridles.

Experience: Riding on your own on the farm´s own terrain with sufficient experience, lessons for beginners.

Horses: 100 mostly self-bred Paint- and Quarter Horses.
