Crossing the Andes is probably one of the greatest adventures on horseback. Ride past snow-capped volcanoes in the Chilean Andes, discover hidden mountain lakes and wind your way through the Huerquehue National Park. For days you will feel like the only people on earth! Then you cross a pass in Icalma and reach the wide valleys of the Argentinian pampas. The view of the plain from the peaks of the Andes is breathtaking.

9-day tourDay 1: Pick-up at Temuco or Pucón airport. Time to get to know the horses and equipment and to settle in. Welcome dinner at the ranch house.
Day 2: You cross the first of three mountain ranges on your way to Argentina. At night, you spend the night in double rooms in huts, 5 minutes from the natural hot springs in the Rio Blanco Valley.
Day 3: You to ride through untouched rainforest and dense stands of coighue trees and bamboo as you cross the second mountain range. You spend the night in a tent camp on a mountain farm belonging to the Mapuche Indian community "Flor de Valle".
Day 4: Today to ride you walk along the slopes of the Sollipulli volcano and spend the night in the mountain hut "Nevados de Sollipulli".
Day 5: You cross the last mountain range before Argentina. Back in civilization to ride You pass through the small Mapuche settlement of Icalma. You spend the night in a hut on the shores of Lake Icalma.
Day 6: Once the customs formalities with the Chilean border control have been completed, you head into the mountains to cross the actual border into Argentina. High up in the mountains, you say goodbye to your Chilean horses and the guides who have accompanied you this far. You then cross the border on foot and greet Hernan and his wonderful Argentinian horses, who will guide you through the unique world of the Argentinian Andes for the next three days to lead . You to ride up to the summit of the Batea Mahuida volcano at almost 2000 m, the highest point of your Riding tour. Overnight stay in a tent camp.
Day 7: You to ride through the valleys and mountains of Argentina, observe the condors and enjoy a breathtaking view over the endless expanses of this uninhabited part of the world. In the evening, you reach the outpost where Hernan lives with his horses.
Day 8: You enjoy the final day's ride into the mountains to a vantage point with a view of the route you have covered. Afterwards, you celebrate the end of Riding tour with a typical Argentinian barbecue, while you talk about your adventure of the past week and share your impressions of this unforgettable experience.
Day 9: After breakfast you drive back to Chile. Our partner can take you to Temuco City (1.00 pm) or to Temuco Airport (1.30 pm) or to Pucon (3.30 pm). If you wish, you can end the trip in Argentina and spend a few more (riding) days in the Argentine pampas.
10-day tourDay 1: Arrival day, pick-up at Temuco airport or at the hotel in Pucon. Welcome to Ranch and dinner at the ranch house.
2.Day: Ride around Pucón: You go on a day ride through the Mapuche Indian community of Quelhue, into the mountains of the Villarrica Forest Reserve and along the rapids of the Trancura River to test your riding experience and familiarize yourself with the horse. Chilean BBQ in the evening.
3rd-6th day: You to ride through untouched rainforests and dense stands of coighue trees and bamboo, past crystal-clear mountain lakes and gurgling streams. The trails to lead lead through the Huerquehue National Park, the Villarrica National Forest Reserve and the Mapuche Indian communities of Reigolil and Icalma. Overnight stay at the natural hot springs of Rio Blanco and on the shores of Lake Icalma.
7th-8th day: On the seventh day, you return to civilization and drive through the small Mapuche settlement of Icalma, where you complete customs formalities with the Chilean border control before driving into the mountains to cross the border into Argentina. High up in the mountains at the border, we say goodbye to our Chilean horses and the guides who have led us to this magnificent place. Then you cross the border 10 meters on foot and greet Hernan and his wonderful Argentine horses, who will take you through the unique world of the Argentine Andes for the next two days to lead .
You to ride through the valleys and cliffs of Argentina, watch condors pass us by, meet shepherds with their herds of cattle or goats and enjoy the breathtaking views over the endless expanses of this uninhabited part of the world. On the evening of day 8, we reach the outpost where Hernan lives with his horses and which marks the end of your journey. We celebrate the end of our hike with a typical Argentinian barbecue while we review our adventures of the past week and share our impressions of this unique experience.
Day 9: They take a farewell ride to the condor nests in the steep cliffs north of the camp and through the pastures of the high plateau, where the gauchos graze their herds of sheep and goats in the summer months.
Day 10: Transfer from Hernans Ranch back to Pucón, Chile, where you pick up your luggage and say goodbye to the horses that carried us in Chile. If desired, travelers can end their trip in Argentina and continue directly from Hernans Ranch or spend more days in the Argentine pampas.
11-day tour with Sollipulli volcanoDay 1: Arrival day, pick-up at Temuco or Pucón airport. Welcome to Ranch and dinner at the ranch house.
Day 2: You take a first ride through the Mapuche Indian community of Quelhue and along the rapids of the Trancura River to assess your riding experience, get used to the saddle and choose your horse for the adventure ahead. Lunch at the farm and then it's time to pack your saddlebags. In the evening you move to the base camp in Laguna Geppinger, from where you set off the next morning to ride.
Day 3: You cross the first of three mountain ranges on your way to Argentina. At night you camp next to the natural hot springs in the Rio Blanco Valley.
Day 4: You to ride through untouched rainforest and dense stands of coighue trees and bamboo as you cross the second mountain range. You spend the night in a tent camp on a mountain farm belonging to the Mapuche Indian community "Flor de Valle".

Day 6: You to ride up the volcano and reach its 4 km wide crater, which is filled with a glacier. In the afternoon, you return to Nevados de Sollipulli for another overnight stay.

Unterkunft
You will spend your first night in a farmhouse in Pucon. Only here will you have access to WLAN. On the way, you will spend the night in mountain huts and on campsites, some with sanitary facilities. Tents, mats and warm sleeping bags are provided.

Arrival / departure: According to date, further dates between Dec - Mar possible from 2 pers. Collective transfer from Temuco according to arrival time of guests. Return arrival at Temuco airport at approx. 13:00 on the last day, i.e. return flight not before 3pm).
