The state of Sao Paulo is not only known for its economic metropolis of the same name, but also for its authentic rural life and the important coffee cultivation in the region. This region offers ideal opportunities for a unique Riding tour through the highlands with its huge coffee fields and beautiful nature. You will pass old historical plantations, varied terrain - from wide plains to mountains, springs and waterfalls. You will also gain an insight into the diverse craftsmanship. Leather, ceramics, pottery, honey, jams, cheese and the famous Cachaca schnapps are produced in this region.
Some of the best coffee plantations in the country have been established here since the mid-19th century. The altitude (800-1,300 meters), the dry winters and rainy summers as well as the fertile soil create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. The Atlantic rainforest can also still be found here. The Jequitiba trees growing there can reach up to 40 meters in height with a diameter of 3 meters. The oldest tree of this species is estimated to be 3,000 years old.
The ride begins at Fazenda Nova, near town Mococa. The settlement is one of the oldest in the region and the size of the estate has grown 20-fold over the years. Horses have been bred here for seven generations.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Sao Paulo and transfer to Fazenda Nova. Time to settle in and explore the farm. Depending on the time of arrival, there may be an opportunity for a first test ride in the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight stay at Fazenda Nova.

Day 2:
After breakfast, you will explore the 120 acres of the farm on horseback. You stop at the Fazenda Belo Monte for lunch. In the Atlantic rainforest, you may be lucky enough to spot a monkey or a elk. Dinner and overnight stay at Fazenda Nova.

Day 3: Today you leave the Fazenda Nova and first set off for the eucalyptus forest. Afterwards, wide maize fields, vegetable plantations and dairy farms await you along the way. You stop for lunch at Fazenda Bocaina, where coffee is the main crop. The owners proudly show you their gardens and then you ride through the forest to a 1000-year-old jquitiba tree. Overnight stay at the Fazenda Fortaleza.

Day 4: It is not a long ride from Fazenda Fortaleza to Fazenda Santo Antonio, but there is a lot to see. We have lunch either at the Fazenda Sao Bento or at the Fazenda Morro Azul. Fazenda Santo Antonio, where we will spend the night, has a beautiful house and a swimming pool. The owners grow coffee naturally. They drink coffee, planted in the shade of the rainforest.

Day 5:
You ride through Brazil's largest coffee plantation and take a short break in Minas Gerais State. Lunch is served in a bakery. You continue to ride to the Fazenda Santa Rita, with a beautiful house, a pool and its own church.

Day 6:
You ride through the small village Canoas and then the Fazenda Limeira, where the cows are milked in an old railroad station. Through hill and around lakes, you arrive in Mococa. Lunch at the Fazenda Nova.

Day 7: Breakfast at Fazenda Nova and transfer to Sao Paulo.

Changes possible! Please note that the itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions etc. This program is also available as Stationary variant and is therefore also suitable for less experienced rider etc. You then to ride for about 4 hours a day in the surroundings of Fazenda Nova.
