This package is ideal for anyone who wants to combine horse riding with other outdoor activities!
Your horseback riding vacation in Belize will be unlike any other vacation you've ever taken. We offer the best horseback riding in Belize with miles of jungle trails on 4000 acres of land. Feel the thrill of riding through the tropical deciduous forest to ride while your guides point out birds, wildlife, trees and medicinal plants. Get to know the culture and beauty of Belize.
Immerse yourself in the ancient cultural sites of the Mayas.
Choose between day or half-day rides to enjoy nature and simply to ride and relax without a specific destination in mind eyes The Lodge is also home to an art gallery and a museum for anyone who wants to add a cultural aspect to their vacation.
If you're looking for activities away from horse riding, you can choose from a variety of options including bird watching, cave rafting, ziplining and much more!

Riding activities
The Ranch follows a philosophy of working with horses that is based on the natural instincts and communication methods of horses. The aim of horsemanship is for Horse to be calm and feel safe throughout the training. A horse that feels calm and secure in the presence of its rider builds fast a bond with that person, and the results can be remarkable. The wranglers place great emphasis on communication with the horse by performing ground work to build trust between human and horse.
The Lodge is a unique place with large pastures where the horses are allowed to run free. With around 80 horses, you have a very large ion from which you can find the right horse for you.
Open pastures, jungle and river offer great riding opportunities for both challenging and relaxing rides.

Six activities are included in the price, and you can choose from day riding to rafting. Put together your own individual program. Non-riders are also very welcome!

Riding activities include:
- Tiger Creek Trail (3 hours) and River and Rows Trail (2 hours - ride along the Belize River and then through the teak plantation) = 1 unit
- Riding and relaxation day (2 hours to ride and then enjoy a massage) = 1 unit
- Day ride through Belmopan (6 hours) = 1 unit
- Day River Ride (6 hours) = 1 unit
- Sunrise to Sunset Trails (day and night rides - 4 hours in total, split into two separate rides) = 1 unit

Activities without riding:

- Cave dinghy and zip line combo tour = 1 unit
- Xunantunich Mayan site and San Ignacio city tour = 1 unit
- Chocolate making tour and Inland Blue Hole National Park with St. Hermans Cave = 1 unit
- Belize Zoo and River Tubing Tour (after visiting the Belize Zoo you go down the Belize River in a rubber dinghy and meander back to Lodge) = 1 unit
- Actun Tunichil Mucknal Cave = 1 unit
- Cave rafting = 1 unit

 

Unterkunft



Close to the river, in a tranquil jungle setting, surrounded by birds and other tropical wildlife! The tropical jungle resort offers charming accommodation that blends in with the local landscape and culture. You will stay in standard rooms in the main lodge or in cabanas with roofs made of jungle laurel, which are uniquely designed. They were built by local craftsmen from indigenous wood and are works of art in themselves. All standard rooms and suites are equipped with air conditioning (some rooms in the cabanas also have air conditioning). The cabanas and chalet rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and/or pedestal fans. On site to stand you will find a swimming pool, a bird sanctuary and a 14-inch Meade telescope for night-time stargazing. Wi-Fi is available at the front desk of Lodge and in the Chateau Brio building. Laundry facilities are also available.

Standard room:
Beautiful stained glass windows and bathrooms with solarium make these rooms a pleasant place to stay. The unique use of seashells in a bathroom mirror, art by Carolyn Carr, artistic tiles, local handicrafts pay tribute to the culture and beauty of Belize in these designer rooms. The rooms are air-conditioned and have a reading table, a comfortable armchair and a queen-size bed and most of them also have a single bed. Four of our standard rooms are located in the Lodge, which has a communal seating area adjacent to a terrace overlooking the river The other two standard rooms are located in our Chateau Brio. The building has curved staircases with beautiful banisters and impressive stonework around all the windows. There is a large terrace on the second floor where you can entertain in the evenings. From the rooms you can enjoy views of the beautiful countryside and pool through arched stained glass windows.

Cabanas:
With roofs made of jungle lavender leaves, they are uniquely designed. Crafted by Banana Bank artisans from fine Belizean woods, they are works of art in themselves. Each cabana has a solarium bathroom, a living room and two bedrooms, each room with a queen-size and a single bed. Four to six family members, friends or groups traveling together can easily be accommodated in each cabana. Carved doors, original oil paintings and jungle atmosphere create a truly unforgettable environment.
If you are traveling as a single person, a single room supplement is mandatory. Occupancy with three persons is possible.

Meals
All meals from dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day are included.
The dining room has an exotic atmosphere. The high thatched roof sets the tone. Carved railings, pink plaster stone walls and wall paneling of fine local hardwood make this a beautiful place to enjoy. Our meals are served family style and are widely regarded as some of the best in Belize. The family atmosphere provides a setting for lively discussions between guests from different parts of the world and with different interests. Menus vary, but center around the kind of home cooking we call "grandma's food", although our girls prepare some of the best dishes of local cuisine in Belize.

The hosts can cater for special dietary requirements by prior arrangement.

Pferde, Reiten & Zaumzeug


Pferde: Around one hundred horses live on our farm, including thoroughbred and quarter horse crossbreeds. Thanks to years of careful training from an early age, they are reliable yet agile to carry you effortlessly through the jungle trails. We train our horses according to the concepts and methods of the natural horsemanship. We are experts in matching horses and rider in the best possible way.

Sattel & Zaum: Western, Wintec, some English saddles on request

Reiterfahrung: Rider with at least basic riding skills, the rides vary depending on the experience of the participants. Rides can vary between 2-hour rides and 4 to 5-hour rides. For full day rides we offer two options. You can either ride out in the morning, return to Lodge for lunch and then continue in the afternoon, or you can take a picnic and continue riding in the afternoon. With so many trails and activities, it's entirely up to you!
