The Zambezi Horseback Safari in Zimbabwe promises impressive experiences on horseback in stunning scenery. This horseback safari offers experienced riders many eventful hours in the saddle.
Your rides will take you through the Zambezi National Park, over the rolling Kalahari sand dunes with their lush vegetation and through dramatic teak forests to the Mopane Woodland, the cool, shady forest along the Zambezi. Of course, you will also admire the famous Victoria Falls.
In this region of Africa, you can stand with your horse in the middle of a herd of wildebeests, watch giraffes and elephants, and gallop along sandy paths and plains. The exact programme varies. Safari rides are conducted daily, as well as jeep safaris and bush walks. The Zambezi National Park is rich in wildlife: you can often observe numerous wild animals from the terrace.
The best time to travel is from June to October. The temperatures are pleasant and the wild animals can be observed particularly well as they gather at the waterholes and the bush is not too dense.
