Beschreibung & Reiseverlauf
While horse safaris are a relatively new addition to the farm, horses have always played an important role on this 12,000 hectare property - from patrolling against poaching to being a favorite with the children who have grown up here over the years. The countryside was restored over 35 years ago and transformed from a cattle farm into a thriving game reserve. Riding safaris have been offered for about seven years, in harmony with animals and people in a magnificent natural environment. The current herd comprises eight riding horses as well as some rescued animals, pensioners and a few young horses, all of which will be used in the coming years.
The riding program offers English-style riding and combines rides on bush trails with relaxed gallops along open roads. The program also includes mobile overnight safaris, where guests spend the night in a mobile camp right next to the horses.
The program is particularly characterized by its flexibility for rider all levels of experience. Gentle horses allow beginners to enjoy quiet rides with wildlife spotting, while experienced rider riders can enjoy faster tours and try out the rustic African-style cross-country course.

Pferde, Reiten & Zaumzeug
Pferde:
There are about 20 horses at the Ranch. They live outside all year round on in fields. Some of the horses have been rescued and are cared for on the farm. Some of the horses are bred on the farm and seem to be the most robust and are well suited for safaris. The horses are all friendly and sweet and love to come and be petted at farm. The herd consists of a mix of mares and geldings and averages around 16 hands in size.
Sattel & Zaum:
English saddle and tack

Beginners can go on shorter rides in walk (maximum 2 beginners per group), while experienced rider can go separately at a faster pace. As there are no dangerous animals in the vicinity of Ranch, even beginners can observe the wild animals from horseback. Max rider weight: 90 kg
