Approximately two hours south of Agadir, our riding stable is located by the sea, where eight-day riding tours between mountains, desert and sea begin. This sporty ride is hard to beat in terms of scenic diversity. In one week, with daily stages of around 30 kilometres, you will ride through deserts, cross mountains and gallop along wide beaches. You will ride reliable Berber-Arabian horses through cactuses, argan trees and palm trees. You will also see numerous Berber villages and visit markets. The ride provides an excellent insight into the history, culture and diverse landscape of southern Morocco.
You will spend the nights at the ranch, in guesthouses and hotels, so you can enjoy the comfort of a bed and a shower every evening.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Agadir airport and transfer to the ranch. You will meet your hosts and the Arabian and Berber horses and discuss the programme for the next few days over a cup of Moroccan tea.

Day 2: After breakfast, you will set off for Mirleft. You will spend around 6 hours in the saddle and cover a distance of 35 km. First, you will descend to the unspoilt wild coast, which you will follow for a while. Later, you will leave the beach and ride inland into the red hills. You will pass through several Berber villages with their mud houses and individual Berber tents. In between, you will ride through fields and barren mountains down to the fishing village of Mirleft.

Day 3: The ride continues south over the barren mountains, with some sections where you lead the horses. The path is stony but dry and easy to ride on, with low cactus bushes growing all around. The fantastic panorama makes up for the difficult passages. In the afternoon, you will see the sea again. You ride to the beautiful beach of Legzira: Huge rock arches rise up from the cliffs and are washed by the water. Overnight stay in Legzira.

Day 4: First, you ride to the famous Lexira beach and enjoy the view of the red cliffs and long arches jutting out into the ocean. Then you ride back into the mountains through a picturesque argan tree forest.The day ends in Sidi Ifni, known for its breathtaking architecture and fish market.

Day 5: Today begins with a gallop along the beach of Sidi Ifni. Afterwards, you ride back up into the mountains to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. During your ride, you cross hills covered with cacti. Just as the day began, it ends with a gallop on the beach – this time in Sidi Ouarzeg, as the sun sets.

Day 6: You continue to follow the Wadi Assaka and pass through several valleys that stretch to the High Atlas. In the afternoon, the trail leads through the Wadi Chouikhate, which slowly disappears into the sand. Today's destination is the French fort of Bou Jerif, which once marked the border with the Spanish enclave of Sidi Ifni.

Day 7: On the last day, you return to the ranch and follow a desert gorge that runs through the wadi. You ride through unique landscapes until you reach a viewpoint overlooking the delta. Enjoy a final picnic on the beach before returning to the ranch. A traditional dinner awaits you at the ranch. Before dinner, there is still some time to relax on the beautiful terraces.

Day 8: After breakfast, transfer to the airport and departure. If you are not flying back until the evening, a later transfer is possible, allowing you to plan another excursion or book another horse ride or massage.

Accomodation
You will spend two nights at Ranch in beautiful, spacious guest rooms with en-suite shower/WC. On the way, you will spend the night in various guesthouses, some quite simple, some with a little more comfort. One night you stay in a camp.

Saddle & Tack: English trekking or endurance saddles and snaffle.

Experience: Advanced riders with trail experience and confidence in all gaits. You will cover approx. 30 km a day, the last day a little shorter. Maximum rider weight: 80 kg!

Horses: Arabs, Berbers and crosses of both breeds.
