Not far from the Swiss and German borders, the comfortable Reiterhotel is beautifully situated in the beautiful Brandnertal. If you want to enjoy the Alps in a comfortable and versatile way, this is the right place for you. Besides riding, you can ride your bike, play golf, shoot archery, swim or relax in the wellness area. Of course there are also plenty of wonderful hiking routes and several cable cars will take you up to the surrounding peaks of the Rätikon and Montafon.
The hotel, which is rich in tradition, has a long association with horses and so guests can also indulge in horse riding. Whether beginner´s lessons on the lunge or extensive rides - on the solidly trained Haflingers you are guaranteed wonderful hours in the saddle under expert guidance.

The hotel welcomes families, couples, non-riders and single travellers alike!


 

Reiseverlauf





Riding program:
The riding farm has versatile trained Haflinger mares and two ponies for smaller children. Whether you are a beginner or already firmly in the saddle - here you will find the right programme for everyone. In advance you can book flexible riding packages with 5 and 10 units. Included are group lessons and rides of 50 minutes each (= 1 unit). Longe lessons last 30 minutes. For an extra charge, individual lessons in dressage and jumping, sitting lungeing, as well as pony driving and carriage rides are also possible. A large riding arena and an indoor riding hall are available for lessons. Qualified riding instructors will ensure that you make progress on horseback. The maximum group size for riding lessons is 5 riders. Up to 10 guests can participate in the rides. The rides lead along the stream, through the forest and over meadow paths with a view of the mountains. The highlight in June and September is a 4-hour ride with picnic high above the Brandnertal: Breathtaking views, impressive mountains and in between a marmot. A unique experience for all saddle-fast riders!

In winter, shorter rides as well as riding lessons are on the program. Enjoy the snowy mountain landscape on horseback!

Riding adventures for children:
6 days riding holiday with a groomed horse. On Sunday getting to know the other children and the horses, first riding lesson. From Monday to Friday there is a morning and afternoon programme. Either riding lessons, rides or a carriage ride through the Brandnertal. At the end of the week, if the weather is fine, we will spend the night in hay in an alpine hut, including a campfire and stories of robbers. Apart from the practical part, the children will learn a lot about riding and horses. At the end of the week there is a presentation of the acquired riding skills for the proud parents. From 9 years on.

Further activities:
Included in the price is the use of the beautiful wellness area with indoor pool, sauna, steam and eucalyptus bath, infrared cabin and fitness room

Right next to the hotel is an idyllic bathing lake. Further open-air pools and bathing lakes can be found in the surrounding villages and in the mountains.

Those who like to be active on foot or by mountain bike should definitely explore the mountains of the Rätikon with the Lünersee. Several cable cars also lead to the surrounding mountains. Two of them are within walking distance of the village. Historic mule trails and smuggler´s paths lead as far as Switzerland. Guided hikes with BergAktiv are included for hotel guests from Monday to Friday.
There are several suitable steep faces for climbers.

Friends of ball sports will of course also get their money´s worth: an 18-hole golf course is within walking distance, table tennis and beach volleyball can be played at the natural swimming pool. Tennis and minigolf are possible in the immediate vicinity. Hotel guests can use the public tennis courts free of charge.
Or would you like something different? The hotel´s archery range with 34 stations promises lots of fun.
Winter sports enthusiasts will enjoy the numerous pistes in the Brandnertal and Montafon. Whether you like cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding or sledging, there is something for everyone.

The family-friendly hotel offers free childcare so that you can go on tour without the "dear little ones". In the large garden there is a playground with climbing tower and lots of equipment.

With their rustic style, the rooms and apartments radiate a homely flair and coziness, while offering modern facilities and design. The view of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful nature will inspire you. All rooms are comfortably equipped with shower, WC, balcony, telephone, cable TV, safe and WLAN. In addition to double and single rooms, there are also two apartments for up to 6 people (a.A.).
Included in the price is a rich breakfast buffet, a light lunch buffet, afternoon snack and an excellent dinner. Twice a week this is offered as a theme buffet, on shorter days a 5-course gourmet menu awaits you. During the day soft drinks from the Limo fountain are always available (included). Eggs and beef come from our own production from free range farming.
A supermarket and cafés are within walking distance.

Pferde, Reiten & Zaumzeug


Pferde: Nearly 20 lovely Haflinger mares, versatile trained for beginners and advanced riders, as well as two Shetland ponies.

Sattel & Zaum: English saddles and bridles.

Reiterfahrung: Riding lessons for children older than 9 years, for younger children some pony riding. Lessons for beginners and advanced riders up to dressage class L. Hacking is possible for advanced beginners. Saturday is a rest day for the horses, from Friday evening to Sunday morning you can enjoy the large alpine pastures.

Haflinger

Die Haflinger sind eine alte Rasse kleiner Pferde, mit Ursprüngen in den Tiroler Bergen/ Österreich. Der Name kommt vom Dorf Hafling, das vor dem Kriegsende zu Österreich gehörte und heute in Italien liegt. Der Beginn der Haflingerzucht geht auf das Jahr 1874 zurück, in dem der Hengst "249 Folie", Kreuzung einer Tiroler Stute mit einem Halbaraber-Hengst, geboren wurde. Alle Haflingerpferde können in ihrer Abstammung bis auf diesen Hengst zurückverfolgt werden.

Haflinger kamen 1958 nach Nordamerika, importiert durch Tempel Farms in Illinois. Zusammen mit importierten Lipizzaner wurde ein Zuchtprogramm initiiert. Daraufhin begannen weitere Haflingerimporte und führten zu der heuten beachtlichen Zahl an Züchtern in den USA und Kanada.

Haflinger sind gelehrig, ausgeglichen und wenig schreckhaft, 138 - 148 cm groß und gut bemuskelt. Sie sind als Tragtier, leichtes Arbeitspferd sowie Reit- und Fahrpferd geeignet. Wegen ihrer Stärke, Gutmütigkeit und Willigkeit sind sie bei Familien besonders beliebt. Außerdem sind sie langlebig (nicht selten bis zu 40 Jahren), intelligent und anspruchslos in der Haltung. Haflinger sind immer Füchse oder Palominos mit üppigem, weißem bis flachsfarbenen Langhaar, einem edlen, trockenem Kopf mit großen Augen und kleinen Ohren. Die Hufe sind groß, Brust und Lende kräftig, der Hals muskulös.

In der Haflingerzucht beginnen die Namen der Hengstfohlen mit dem ersten Buchstaben des Vaters, die der Stutfohlen mit dem ersten Buchstaben der Mutterstute. Zusätzlich gibt es die ST -Hengstlinie, wo die Namen mit St beginnen.
